The Hessen State Orchestra showed itself from its cinematic side at the "May Pageants"
Wiesbaden, Germany, May 4, 2007 --- Every year the Hessen National Theatre Wiesbaden sets cultural trends at the "May Pageants" over and above the usual festival everyday life. For example: among other things, the 78 members of the Hessen State Orchestra furnished the proof that Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries", Johann Strauss’ "Blue Danube" or Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" do not just have to sound good out of the orchestra pits of famous opera houses; namely, in the past well-known films have helped classic masterpieces achieve worldwide prestige. At the beginning of May, sound engineer Volker Morlock stood at the Yamaha M7CL mixing desk in Wiesbaden at the live event of the special kind. The digital audio-transport network RockNet from Media Numerics was used in conjunction with the desk. Sound-specialist Morlock still goes into raptures today about the formidable qualities of the powerful 19-inch rack: "The system works totally reliably and has very low-noise, remote-controllable inputs," he said, describing the advantages. And as far as user-friendliness is concerned RockNet was also able to gain points with the experienced sound technician. "Insert the card, lay the CAT cable, connect the breakout box and the mikes - done", said Morlock, enthusiastic about the uncomplicated use of the RockNet products. So the classical evening in the open air concluded with the result: "Sound good, everything good."
